MSME REGISTRATION
Registration of an MSME is not legally mandatory but registering it will help you reap several benefits from the government including credit at low interest rate, incentives on products for exports, excise exemption, statutory aid such as reservations, and the interest on the payments delayed due to unavoidable.

Under the MSME registration benefits, a buyer is expected to make a payment for the goods/services within 15 days of the purchase. If the buyer delays, the payment for more than 45 days, the enterprise is eligible to charge compound interest which is 3 times the rate notified by RBI.
Micro, Small and Medium sized enterprises in both the Manufacturing and Service sector can obtain MSME registration or SSI registration under the MSMED Act. Although getting MSME registration is not mandatory but it is always suggested to small and medium enterprises to get it done as it provides a variety of benefits.
